Over the last few years many of our members have been priveledged and honored to stand the flag line to send off (or welcome home) our few remaining WWII veterans as the departed on an Honor Flight to Washington, DC. Some of you may know that a documentary was created to follow the experience of 4 of those veterans. Below is a press release by the Honor Flight creators to promote the one time opportunity to see the film in the Grand Forks area. We may consider standing a flag line to welcome those coming to see the movie; more on that later. I was advised that a box of kleenex will be mandatory equipment... HONOR FLIGHT - One Last Mission Saturday, February 9th, 10:15am River City Cinema, 211 Demers Ave., East Grand Forks, MN For tickets: Order online @ www.tugg.com/events/2813 or call 218-779-7834 Honor Flight is a heartwarming documentary about four living World War II veterans and a Midwest community coming together to give them the trip of a lifetime. Volunteers race against the clock to fly thousands of WWII veterans to Washington, DC to see the memorial constructed for them in 2005, nearly 60 years after their epic struggle. When the movie premiered at Miller Park Stadium in Milwaukee this past August, it had the largest audience in cinematic history. Over 28,000 people attended and it is recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records. This incredible movie will be sure to change your life. Their stories are universal and are representative of the experiences and challenges to all WWII veterans. Come for 40's style entertainment and show of artifacts starting at 9:30am.

Bob and I were at the ABATE office yesterday and were going to sign up for the experienced rider course again. The ladies encouraged us to try and get some of our members together and they would set up a course for the PGR. The course is capped at eight and that is what they would like to see. I see there is not a non-PGR section anymore but maybe in the blog area. If we could hear by March 15 as the classes are in May. If there is no interest Bob and I will just go ahead and sign up for one of the classes.
